Gökhan Yücel is a Turkish digital age geek with interests ranging from ınnovatıon ın education & learning to diplomacy, data-driven analysis, socıal networks & place branding in the 21st Century.
Co-founder and president of Yenidiplomasi.com which is a global research, advocacy, consulting and training platform on digital diplomacy. He is currently leading a team to establish Istanbul Center for Digital Affairs (digitalaffairs.org). He develops new digital projects such as Diplomatify.com, YeniEgitim.org, DigitalTurkey.org and DigitalSquare.org. Recently, he delivered speeches at the UN Media Seminar & Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Ambassadors Conference & attended Stockholm Initiative for Digital Diplomacy meeting.
Taught Middle East politics courses at Oxford University during his doctoral studies. In Turkey, he designed innovation, leadership, motivation, instructional design and entrepreneurship courses for teachers and taught in Okan, Aydin and Hasan Kalyoncu Universities (2011-2013). Gökhan Yücel is the coordinator of Digital Diplomacy Program at BAU & director of the Diplomap Project. He is currently teaching digital diplomacy in Global Affairs MA Program at Bahçeşehir University. He is also an occasional lecturer at the Leadership, Politics and Diplomacy School of Bahcesehir University. He is a member of the Global Teacher Prize Academy.
